Who is Vandis Vail? I want to know more! I loved this brief glimpse into the character's backstory, and it honestly made me want to pick up the rest of these stories and dive right in straight away. I liked the youthfulness of this character, the banter, and the fun of the story. The dialogue was breezy and it flowed naturally and conversationally. There is a lot of humor, many times making me smile like a complete loon as I read. It's a nice short read, a quick journey to a place that wraps you up and envelops you... a place you find you don't want to leave anytime soon!Product details

This is a fun romp through some of the backstory for the other tales of Rothganar - Vandis Vail at his most unique self, humor even in the most serious moments
For those who have been reading Saga Menyoral, a lovely tidbit about Vandis. My stomach hurts from laughing so much. And the title is so very appropriate.
Loved loved loved this short tale. Vandis is my favorite character in M.A. Ray's novel and this story is a lovely introduction to Vandis and a gateway to the highly recommended world of Rothganar!
Laughs and smiles, great dialogue and phenomenal character development. A lovely snapshot story about a character so well-written and so wonderfully gruff that I wish I could meet him and his Lady in real life.
I really enjoyed this short quirky tale about how Vandis got his "wings".
I was right there with him, felt the wind on my cheek and Her in my heart. They seem a great pair. I cannot wait to read more.
If you like a fun, quirky, not-your-typical fantasy read, you will enjoy this short story.
Another great story from M.A.Ray. This short is a wonderful glimpse into the early life of Vandis Vale...and if you don't know who Vandis is, then you are missing out. Check out the other titles by the author. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommended.
If you've read the Saga of Menyoral, then you've probably fallen a little bit in love with Vandis. Here you catch a glimpse of Vandis as a young man, before the weight of responsibility has settled on his shoulders. He's special, is Vandis, and his Lady knows it. Perhaps that's why she's touched him in such a way, given him gifts she's deemed no one else worthy of.
Vandis is a foul-mouthed preacher man and he will steal your heart away when you see him love the boy he saves (with the help of his Lady.) Before that, though, you need to see him as a young man. Laugh with him. Fly with him. And fall in love.
